Hello Terrible Two's

All in one week Taya has:

- Broken our pantry door off (she brings me the brown sugar everyday... "mmm mommy, nummy")

-Dumped two bags of cereal on our family room carpet, one of which was Fruity Pebbles... could that be any harder to pick up??

-Unrolled the toilet paper from our bathroom into our bedroom (about 15 feet) TWICE

-Burned her hand on the fireplace

-Sat in our garage and played in the oil leak from my car

-Stuck a chocolate chip up her nose "MOMMY STUCK! MOMMY STUCK!"

-Eaten pretty much every marker in our hous
e... see my previous post

-Learned how to breasfeed her baby doll
"baby ian Taya's boobies" (ian=eating)
what?!?

-And today found the tallest stool we own and got a hold of our Melatonin "mmm bedtime nummy Mommy" ... yeah, she was a little tired today:

"Mommy, tired. Nap"
"Let's eat some lunch first, then you can go to sleep, Taya"
"Mommy nap"
"Ok, we need to eat food really fast"
"No food. Nap"

Oh and did I mention that most of this happened today??
Apparently you're supposed to watch your kids during the day :) .

I need a vacation.

Such a Gem

You know, there's those cute little kids that have the perfect hair with the cute barrettes and the perfectly kept clothes that always just look like such sweet children?...

And then there's my sweet Taya...

Who eats markers.

And thinks it's funny.

"I swear I'll never do it again, Mom." ...

"And what's this?" You ask ...
Three bitten off marker tops.

Thanks Taya.

When It Rains, It Pours

Our family has had two days in a row of sad news, so we're off to a rough start this week. Jenna and Andrew found out today Cash has problem with his intestines, so please keep this little guy in your prayers, he's having surgery either tonight or tomorrow to correct the problem :(

Breakfast

This morning I was made Taya waffles and pretty much talking to myself I said, "Where's the syrup?". Taya replied, "Taya deep it all gone". ("drink" :) ) Now I know why she wakes up so early, apparently she can get to things much easier when Mommy and Daddy are still sleeping!

Kiddie-Poo's

It's been a long time since I've updated on the kids, so here it goes...

TAYA

Taya is still a character. She runs around the house dancing and shaking her bum all the time. She'll say "mommy watch" or "Dog-ger watch Taya" and shakes her little bum at him. She's been potty trained for over a month now and is doing AMAZING! She won't even pee when she sleeps too, it's great! (Except for getting woken up in the middle of the night to take her potty.) She's been saying so many new things, it's so fun to see how little minds grow. She surprises me all the time with the things that come out of her mouth... for example (I can't believe I'm writing this, but it was one of those moments you couldn't help but laugh), the other day she tooted and looked at me, laughed, then pointed her finger up and said "yisten" ... and tooted again! Are you kidding me!? Wonder who taught her that... CAM!! After church the other day a boy was walking out with us and as we were headed to our car Taya said, "bye stinky boy" :) Daddy's teach the most wonderful things don't they? haha, our poor children.

DODGER

Dodger is getting so big, such a chubby little guy. He's such a happy baby, but has quite the scream when he's mad. He started smiling at six weeks and is now in the stage of wanting to laugh. He's extremely ticklish, loves watching Taya, and loves having his hair played with.

2 month appointment:
23 inches, 55%
12 lbs, 59%

Baby Cash

Jenna and Andrew had their baby on December 31st... yes, I'm a little late in posting :) He was 7 lb 4 oz and 19 inches long. Such a cutie and so tiny!

Isn't it amazing the difference in just two months!? ...

Congratulations Jenna & Andrew, he's a doll!

Christmas 2009

Christmas time was so much fun with Taya this year! She loves all the Christmas lights and loved plugging and unplugging the lights on our Christmas tree. She sings "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" all the time and asks to watch "Elf" and "The Polar Express - or "the train show" - every single day. We still watch it, unfortunately. I think I have the whole thing memorized by now! We had so many family parties this year and so much fun with everyone! It was a great Christmas, but extremely busy and a little difficult adjusting to two kids, so needless to say I'm looking forward to a little more relaxed week next week! :)

Grandpa Treu was bouncing Taya and Maya (cousin) on his lap and they were cracking up, it was adorable! ...

Grandma and Grandpa Treu with the kiddos...

Our family on Christmas Eve at my sister's house, Taya's face cracks me up ...

Grandma and Grandpa Woodward came over on Christmas Eve and gave Taya a kitchen. She LOVES playing with it, she makes us food and drinks everyday :) Thanks Mom & Dad!! ...

Taya was really cute Christmas morning. We had to wake her up at 8:00... why can't that happen any other day of the year!? Every morning we're awakened by our sweet princess at 6:30, but of course Christmas Day when I'm automatically up that early she sleeps in!! Grr... Anyway, this is what Santa brought Taya. She opened all her presents sitting in her car :) She had a lot of fun opening presents, but left them half opened because she'd get to busy doing other things! ...

Our little Santa man, he's getting so chubby! :) ...

Christmas afternoon we headed up to Wyoming to see Nana and Papa Schiffhauer. Taya had a blast playing in the snow and by the campfire! It was nice to get away and SO nice to have other people watching my kids! And the presents were nice too :) haha. ...

Cousin Maya and Taya...

Thanks everyone for a great Christmas! Every year right after Christmas I always say I can't wait for Christmas next year! Luckily we have enough candy at our house to last us until then :) Maybe we'll save it and give it away for Halloween... Save us a little money! Ha. Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!

Update

Yes I'm still alive over here, just haven't posted for a while, sorry! Dodger is getting big so fast! He started smiling this week, it's so cute. He's had colic for a while BUT little interesting story - our chiropractor told Cam that most colic comes from the spine so he said to bring him in. I was a little skeptical of the whole thing, but WOW!! Seriously I can't believe the difference! He used to cry for about three hours every night and has been adjusted twice now and no longer has a fussy time. We couldn't be more excited, it's so nice not to have a screaming baby. I always said I didn't know how mom's could handle that, but I guess you don't really have a choice! Anyway, he's much happier now, and I am too. Although, I did have to stop drinking Dr. Pepper and that I am NOT too happy about :( So sad!

We've been potty training Taya for a little while now and she's doing AMAZING! I'm so excited about it, changing a two year old's diapers after a newborn's isn't very fun :) It's so funny though, all her pants fall off of her now cause she's so dang skinny. It's pretty cute though! She talks about Santa and watches Elf literally everyday... does that make me a bad mom? :) She sat on his lap at our church Christmas party and gave him a high five when she was done. I think she was pretty proud of herself. Haha. I'll have to post more pictures when I get them all uploaded.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Time is flying by so fast! We're so excited for Christmas, it's coming up so fast! Jocelin finished Dodger's baby pictures, so I'll be posting those soon, they're adorable, she did a great job! Here's a few random pictures until then ....

So happy in his new swing! (Thanks Mom & Dad!!!)

Crazy hair!... speaking of which, he got his first haircut today! :)

Taya finally got to use her new snow clothes the other day! She kept making this face for some reason :/

Halloween 2009

Halloween was a lot of fun this year even though I couldn't really do anything. I was SHOCKED that Taya actually wore her costume, she wouldn't a couple weeks ago but I think I tricked her good enough before she could notice it was on her! My parents were still here along with Jami, Jenna and Andrew so it was a lot of fun especially since I didn't have to answer the door :) Thanks Jami! Cam took Taya trick-or-treating and said that she loved it. He said she was nervous at first and wouldn't say trick-or-treak (or "turkey teet" haha) she'd just say "peassee" but she was obviously excited about the candy! When they got home Taya sat on a stool at our window and watched for "more people" to ring the doorbell. She was so cute, she loved handing out candy to all the kids. Anyway, here's some pictures...

The fam...

Tay and me...

Taya had to do a few practice rounds at our house before leaving to go trick-or-treating...

Off they go...

Missing out on all the fun...

Taya wouldn't hold still for a sibling picture, this was about the best we got. Sorry Taya, no suckers for Dodger yet! ...

This is what happens on Halloween night when your 2 year old has just finished off 2 suckers and who knows what else... they get all wrapped up in balloon strings and run in circles for 15 minutes...

And then they do this...
Classic!! :)

Home From The Hospital...

Me and Dodger got home on Monday, October 26th, after a LONG four days at the hospital! Long story short, I lost more than half my blood so they had to keep me a little longer. The doctor decided not to do a blood transfusion so I'm still really weak and tired all the time, and yes, white as a ghost, but what can ya do!? haha. It's really frustrating though, I'm getting so sick of being stuck in the house and not being able to walk up my stairs without panting. They said it'd take a few weeks for my blood count to go back up but I'm hoping it'll be sooner than that. Anyway, we're home and thrilled about it. Dodger is SUCH a good baby. Let's hope it's not the percocet!! Taya has been SO good with him, she gives him hugs and kisses all the time, but still tries to wake him up and steal his blankets. We'll have to work on that.

Getting Dodger dressed to go home, finally!!!.....

Dodger

Showing Taya the baby for the first time (she wasn't able to come to the hospital because of all the swine flu business)...

Lots of baby kisses...

This is the face Taya makes every time Dodger makes a noise, it's so cute :) ...

We came home to this that night, thanks Jami and Mom, sooo cute!! ...

Quick note: Thank you SOOO much to everyone who helped with Taya and everything else while we were in the hospital, we really couldn't have done it without you!!!

Here He Is...

Dodger Scott Treu
October 22, 2009
8:14 am
8 lb 1 0z 19 1/2 in long

This is our sweet little boy, he's finally here!

Just a quick update... Dodger was born Thursday morning, surgery went sooo good, so much better than the last one! Yesterday (Friday) was really rough for me, I won't go into detail but it was pretty scary. Today is much better, they've just been monitoring me all day. We were hoping to get home by tomorrow morning but it doesn't look like it'll be happening! Because of swine flu the hospital won't allow anyone under the age of 14 here so Taya hasn't even gotten to see him yet! I miss her so much :( Hopefully we'll be able to come home by Monday! Anyway, here's a few pictures of our little pumpkin...

Pumpkin Patch... Minus the Pumpkins

Me, Taya and Jami all headed out to the Hee-Haw Farms today to go pick out a pumpkin, but when we got there we realized it wasn't so much a pumpkin patch! :) Taya had a lot of fun though, they had pretty much a whole petting zoo and lots of games for little kids... and Jami! haha. Being 9 months pregnant, Jami had to play with Taya, carry Taya, push Taya, lift Taya... you name it. Thanks for coming with us Jami! Here's some pictures from our fun day...

Empty pumpkin patch...
This kind of looks like a creepy pumpkin patch we thought...

Taya had to help push the wagon the whole time. She wouldn't let me near it, "Nami" had to do everything...

Finally, a few tiny pumpkins...
This was a little corn stalk tunnel that Jami was chasing Taya through. Made for some really cute pictures...

Taya started feeding this goat and it just clung to her forever, it was adorable. This picture isn't the best, but still cute...
Am I a bad parent that I let my daughter kiss bunnies?? :) ...
This was about the only picture I got with Taya, she seriously won't let me touch her when Aunt "nami" is around! ...
Taya and Jami making piggy faces...
Jumping into the hay trampoline thingy...

The day was lots of fun, I'd recommend that place to everyone... just not for picking out a pumpkin :)
