The Day Has Finally Come...

After months and months of Taya crying whenever I'd try to help her walk, she's finally figured it out on her own!! YAY!!! Last week I was on the phone with Jami and saw her little head bobble by, it freaked me out so I gasped and scared her! She's so proud she can walk and gets so excited when you ask her to walk to you. It's so cute! I took a little video of her tonight, it's not very long and nothing special, but it's still cute...

does she look a little drunk to anyone else? :)

It's been a while since I've posted so here's a few pictures...

I came into the kitchen to this the other day...

If this isn't a guilty face, I don't know what is!...

Last Sunday I caught Taya on the stairs trying to put her own shoes on, it was adorable!

And this is the face we've been seeing A LOT of lately (don't be offended if she ever makes it at you!) ...

Such a gem!

Taya had her 15 month doctor's appointment today, she's 75th percentile for height, 95th for her head size (which, believe it or not has gone down 2 points!), and 25th percentile for her weight. Guess we'll be trying to shove protein down her for the next few months! Ideas, anyone?

PARTY TIME!!!

Me and Jami are having a Lia Sophia jewelry party next Thursday, December 4th for anyone and everyone who wants to come! It's at 7:00p.m. at Jami's house and should be the highlight of your life. Jami has put together a dance routine and will be performing at 7:15 sharp. :) Should be pretty entertaining. And for all you ladies, there will be dessert. If you'd like to come please email me at http://ashleytreu@gmail.com and I can give you more info and directions. I don't think giving directions to someone else's house on the internet is a good idea :) Don't forget, this is a great time to buy Christmas gifts so please come and bring all your friends. Not just one. All. If you'd like to check out the jewelry before hand, go to http://liasophia.com . Thanks! Hope to see you there! (Jami will be very sad if she has to perform in front of only me.)

Here I Am

So my blog has been neglected for a few weeks! But here I am, I'm back :) We haven't been doing too many fun things, just very busy. I've been sooooo extremely tired and no energy lately so I finally went to the doctor and found out I have a thyroid problem, so hopefully it'll get better soon! Taya is getting so big and is still so much fun. She's learning how to throw temper tantrums though, hopefully that's just a phase. I took a cute video of her that I'll have to post tomorrow.

I babysat my sister's kids a few weeks ago and they decided to make a pile of leaves. Here's a few pictures from the big event... Melaina and Myra, way too excited about leaves :)

I thought this face was so funny for some reason!

Myra decided she wanted to be burried in leaves!

Halloween Ballerina...

My friend, Kimberly, was doing $10 Halloween pictures on Wednesday so I took Taya to her house and had her pictures taken. She was so sad so we gave her a bunch of candy and a sucker and they turned out so cute! Thanks Kimberly! ... http://tiltphotography.com/blog

Taya & Marley

Taya Loves her puppies...
She loves to give Marley hugs

And talks to her

Marley even lets Taya use her for balance

but...

Maybe Taya loves her puppies a little too much...

Close your eyes Grandma! :)

YARD WORK... LOTS OF IT!!!

So when I got back from Chicago I was pretty... ok, VERY overwhelmed with yard work and Jami invited my whole family over the past two Monday nights to help me out with it. Yes, it took LOTS of people and TWO DAYS to finish my back yard. The front yard I did myself and took up many days and many nap times that I wished I was sitting on my couch reading a good book (and it's still not done!). I cannot thank everyone who helped enough for all they did, I could not have done it myself. Maybe I could have, but it'd probably be the middle of December and I'd have a hunchback. So, my family, thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you so much! You will definitely be blessed for your service! And someday I hope to repay the favor! Anyway, I promised my family before and after pictures so get ready for this....

Before (Andrew & Jenna)

After...Before...

And this is the big pile from all the mess...

Anyone have any ideas on what to do with it???

Thanks again family for everything, and thanks Matt for your mansaw! (Sorry Brandon and Kim, it was too dark so we didn't get any pictures of you!)

**Lots of our bushes and trees were dead so if anyone wants to come help replant things in the spring let me know! :)

Petting Zoo

Last week some of the girls that were in Chicago reunited at Thanksgiving Point to see the petting zoo. It was so much fun to have all the kids together again, but I think more fun for the adults :) Here's a few pictures from the day...
I tried to convince the girls to give me a boost, but they weren't having it :)
All the kids back together again! We thought it was pretty cute that they were all watching the horsies!

Believe it or not Taya was not too thrilled with riding the pony! I had to take her off early because she was yelling :) Oh well, at least we got a cute picture!

This goat was so funny! I love Taya's facial expression :)

WE'RE HOME... without daddy :(

We made it! Taya and I got home on Tuesday night, we're so excited to be here, but we already miss Cameron. I've been kept very busy with lots of house work, yard work, salon work, and baby work though so it's kept my mind off him being gone. Funny how you don't appreciate the little things until you're without that person. The other night I lay down to go to sleep, looked in the corner and saw a black thing. Cameron knows that's his job, to kill all the things I'm afraid of. I tried to convince myself it was just a fly, but was terrified to shut the light off not knowing if the black thing would somehow make its way over to me during the night. Just then, it flew away! Hallelujah! Then, there's the issue with the garage door... how is a girl supposed to know how to reprogram her garage door remote?? Any ideas?? I miss you Cam!!

Taya has been so funny since we've been home, she LOVES having a bigger house to roam. The second we got home she had to speed-crawl through every room, shut every door, climb the stairs, throw everything down the stairs... you name it. She loves having doggies of her own to pet and play with. She wakes up saying "dob dob dob" every morning. Apparently "g" is a hard letter to say :). It's pretty cute though. I'm soooo happy to finally have her in her crib, she hasn't woken up in the night since she's been in it... knock on wood!

We're so happy to be home and excited to see all of our friends and family. Cameron, we miss and love you so much. I'm so proud of you, you're doing so good honey!

Here's a few more pictures since we've been home...

This is the best picture we could get with the 4 of us!

One of the nice things about having a dog, they clean up so you don't have to :)

First things first... the stairs!!

My brother inlaw, Matt, took us sailing on Wednesday! As you can see, the wind was horrendous! :) Tons of fun...

Captain Matt and Melaina (my sister Kim's husband and child).

Taya was playing with her dolly tonight and when I was looking at the pictures I took I realized their head shapes are identical... funny :) Totally random, I know.

Thanks to Cameron

I've been so happy that Taya is 1 now and still doesn't climb our stairs in our apartment, BUT the other day Cameron said, "honey, look!". So I came around the corner and Taya was climbing the stairs with the help of her father. This was 3 days ago and ever since I can't keep her off of them. I'm leaving Chicago to go back to Utah in 2 days and was so grateful we didn't have to buy a baby gate the whole time we lived here (with limited space in our car on the way back we've tried to buy as little as possible!). Anyway, yesterday Cameron blocked the stairs with our stoller, some boxes and a bunch of other random things and when I finished the dishes I couldn't find Taya. I asked Cam where she was and heard giggling at the top of the stairs. She was at the very top laughing, doing who knows what up there! Somehow she had gotten through his "homemade baby gate" and climbed to the top. I swear one of these days she's going to give me a heart attack. Today she found a piece of gum, put a whole golf ball in her mouth, almost swallowed an earring and tried to get out of the bathtub by herself. It's been quite the week!

This is how happy she was when she got to the top :) ....

I took a little video of her going up the stairs (mainly just for her grandma's). Aslo, this is Danny and Caitlin's dog by the way. Taya can't really figure out "dog" yet, it's always "dob" or "bob" haha.
