Our Little Entertainer

I've been so bad with posting lately so I decided to write a lil' somethin' somethin' real quick. We haven't been up to much! Taya is turning one on Monday, we can hardly belive it! There's a few really cute things she's been doing lately so I thought I should write them down so we don't forget. She's been quite the little entertainer around here lately! We bought her a new carseat and Cameron turned the box into a tunnel for her and she absolutely loves it! She crawls back and forth in that thing all day long, it's so cute. The other day I was on the computer and she was crawling around in the kitchen when I noticed how quiet it had gotten. I said "Taya, come here" and she came crawling into the living room so fast, giggling, with an unwrapped sucker sticking out of her mouth... hmm, wonder where she got that from! :) I just can't believe she got it unwrapped and everything! She's started brushing her own hair-or trying- when I give her a brush, and talking on her little fake phone, holding it as close to her mouth as possible. We've been having so much fun with her, I can't believe my little baby is going to be one!

One Year Pictures

While we were at home I decided to have my friend take Taya's one year pictures, but Taya wasn't feeling good so we only took a few. I think she only half-smiled once or twice, but they're still sooo cute... here's a few of my favorites...

Utah

Taya and I just got back from our trip back home, we had so much fun and came back exhausted! We stayed at my sister's house and they took such good care of us! Taya loved playing with her cousins and I'm sure will be bored now with just me at home! It was so fun to see so much family, we're excited to be back in Utah again soon! Tay got the flu while we were there and unfortunately came home with that and 4 more teeth! Needless to say, the flights were both not very fun, I'm not sure I'll ever want to fly again :) We'll see how my trip home goes next month :/ better than driving I guess. Here's a few pictures from our vacation...

On Wednesday we went to the Scera pool in Orem and all the kids got to swim. Taya loved it but was tired so we gave her a sucker to keep her happy a little while longer, she went to town on that thing! :)

I left taya alone for two seconds and came back to her feeding herself yogurt... oops :)

Taya got to play with her cousin Maya while we were home. They gave each other kisses the whole time and had so much fun!

I told my brother if he could get Taya to smile I'd give hime $5... hopefully he fogot about it though!

Tay was sad so we gave her a whole watermelon to see what she'd do... messy, but she loved it!

BEAT

Taya has been such a little gem lately, for the past 5 mornings she's been sleeping in until 9:30!! I can't tell you how nice it's been to sleep in! She must be going through a growth spurt because she still has two full naps during the day. She also must know how exhausted her mother has been and maybe she just decided I needed a break. Speaking of break... Can't wait for my trip back home next week!!!! I'm so so so ready for a vacation! I guess I'm kind of on a vacation right now, being that we're away from our home, but still I wouldn't call it a "vacation". As you can probably guess, my little princess takes a lot out of me and therefore I am beat and so ready for some babysitters. So, to my sisters and my mommy, get ready, here I come... :) I told my friend today that I probably would be the best mom ever if I didn't have to feed Taya or change her diaper. Those two things alone make my job almost impossible. Cameron and my sister can attest to this. If you've read my previous posts I know what you're thinking... and yes, sometimes I remember to put her diaper on!! I seriously should video tape me trying to change her diaper. The kid is ALL OVER THE PLACE! I thought it was hard when she was a baby, just as you took the diaper off poop would launch out before you even had a chance to think, but no, it's much harder now. P.S. does it ever get any easier!?! So maybe to go along with my "Parenting for Dummies", will someone also buy me a changing table with full body straps to tie my child down?? Is that bad!?! Needless to say, I'm excited to get to Utah to pass off the diaper duties to someone else! Maybe a video later... if you're lucky.

Pictures Pictures Pictures

It's been a while since I've posted pictures, so here's a bunch from the last week. Taya's doing new things all the time and keeps me entertained all day! Here's a few of the new cute things she's been doing...

This book has a picture of a different baby on every page and she always makes sure to kiss all the babies on each page... so cute :)

She started doing this a few days ago and now LOVES it :) ...

She's even getting good at no hands! (By the way, this is the dress she was wearing when I forgot to put a diaper on her... anyone could've made that mistake, it covers her whole bum! I think mostly I'm just trying to make myself feel a little better!)

We've been lucky to have my sisters here for the last month and Taya's become new best friends with their puppies, Mia and Walter.
Taya even loves to give Walter kisses :) Yes, she's very giving with her kisses, we'll have to work on that before she gets older! She chases after him most of the day with her mouth wide open... and sometimes he even licks the food off her tongue. Disgusting, we know. Sorry Taya.
