My Little Hippie ...

Where did we get her? :)
Whenever she finds these headbands she wears them around all day, and not just one, ALL of them! And this time she added in a little butterfly clip, nice touch I think!

Hallelujah, It's DONE!

See, I didn't make you wait that long :) Here she is ...

Remember these doors? ...
Well, I liked the other side better with the rest of the piece, so Cam switched them for me :) ...
Turned out to be a little more difficult than just flipping them over, but they work just fine and I'm happy with them! What do ya think? Good move or bad?

Finally done and FOR SALE!! If you have any questions, email me at ashleytreu@gmail.com.

UPDATE: SOLD!

And this is what happens when you paint instead of watching your children, like you should be... or something like that :) ....

DYING!!

Ok so I'm DYING to show you this piece I've been working on- not to brag, but because that will mean that it's FINALLY FINISHED!!!!! This thing has taken me WAY too long and I'm tired of looking at it. :) I've been sick FOREVER and had a few days in there where I couldn't even function, so long story short, it will be done and listed FOR SALE TOMORROW!

It's obviously a china hutch- the piece on the right fits on top of the piece on the left, I just couldn't convince Cam to lift it up just for a before picture :)

Yes, lots of CAPS were used in this post... that's just how excited I am to be done with this thing. It's pretty, don't get me wrong, it has just WAY overstayed its welcome. :) And also, a HUGE special thanks to my hubby who can fix almost anything and repaired all the screws and damage that was done by the idiot before that refinished this. Yes, I realize it takes time to learn how to do this, and I'm still learning too, but really, whoever did it was a moron. Sorry, I'm mean. It just got frustrating after about the 5th stripped screw. So if you're ever doing anything with screws, DON'T STRIP THEM, IT WILL CAUSE LOTS OF ANGER LATER! Phewsh, I'm done now. :)

After pictures coming soon!

Walks

Taya LOVES taking Dodger for little walks down our sidewalk so one day I decided I needed to get some pictures of it after she strapped in her baby on the other side too. Most of the time she doesn't bring Dodger back though. She'll come casually into the garage and I'll say "Where's Dodger?!?" and she'll point about two or three houses down the street and there he is. Luckily he's not old enough to care yet, he just waits for me to come get him :). Poor little guy!

I love that she can't even see where she's going... can you see her little hands poking over the handles? :) ...

And these pictures crack me up. Her face starts out so nice and loving, and then watch the progression...

...into pure evil! :) I'm pretty sure she's thinking about pushing him somewhere and leaving, that's why.

Dish Network "Man"

A repair man from Dish Network came this morning to fix our tv and Taya followed him ALL over the house and ALL through the back and front yards. It was hilarious. I'd look out every now and then and hear her saying "Ya done now, Man?" or "You eaving now, Man". Soon it turned into "Man, want a bagle?" "Chocate nilk, Man?" "Mommmy, that man fix Taya's tv?" "Mommy, Taya go outside, see dat man." Poor "Man" couldn't get any work done! I love having a little social butterfly but having to explain the safety issues that comes along with that has been a little difficult! :)

Here she is...

So I thought this project would be SUPER easy and fast and that I'd have her done in no time... BUT that didn't happen. The painting went quick, but she was in DESPERATE need of some serious love. Here she is though, finally finished.....

See what I mean? ...

I'm so sad, the dresser was missing ONE original handle, which I LOVED, so I had to get new ones, but I guess I'll just have them for another project. These ones fit most the holes perfectly, and I thought they looked pretty cute on it. Probably not my first choice of style, but still cute.

Ok, I know someone had commented on me sharing a "how to" but I just haven't gotten around to it. SOMEDAY I will I promise :). I THOUGHT about it this time, but unfortunately Cam wasn't home when I started it, and let's be honest, the only pictures Taya has taken look like this...

At least she's crossing her feet I guess! So anyway, the next project I promise I'll do it :). And the next one is a good one! I found a china hutch that I love, so hopefully that will get started soon... well, as soon as I can convince Cam to lift it out of his truck! Thank goodness I married a big guy! Who would lift things for me and reach stuff when my stool just doesn't cut it! Thanks babe, love ya! :)

I know you're probably sick of seeing so much white, but we figured it would sell the best so the first few were unfortunately boring. Sorry. The next one will be a different color though so hopefully you won't be too disappointed. And, once again, this one is FOR SALE so if you are interested please email me at ashleytreu@gmail.com or call/text me if you have my number. It will also be listed on ksl.com tonight.

ONE MORE THING: If you ever need to get rid of furniture, I think I know someone who might like it... hint hint :) OR if you have something that you'd like refinished but don't want to do it yourself, let me know, I'd love to do it for you... for a small fee of course :)
