Baby Burrito

Yes it's true, Taya, at almost 9 months old, still has to be wrapped up tight to fall asleep!! She gets too excited when she's tired and flails her arms and legs all over the place. Who even knows is "flail" is a word, but I'm sure we've all used it once or twice! Anyway, one of my favorite, or most rewarding parts of the day is right before bedtime... I give Taya a bottle, lay her down on her blankie and she waits for me to wrap her up. When I pick her up to put her in her bed I give her kisses and she always gives me the cutest smile. It's such a sweet, innocent, sleepy smile. It's almost like she's saying "mom, thank you for taking care of me". Or I guess that's what I like to think :) Anyway, this is my precious little baby burrito...

Maybe I should have Andrew wrap me up like a burrito when I go to bed. I tend to flail before I fall asleep, so maybe it would help :) Taya looks so big! I remember wrapping her up like this when she was tiny tiny.

Hi Ash! That just makes me want to cry thinking of her just chilling waiting for you to wrap her up! She is adorable. We miss you guys...Especially 2nd hour of church! Still as boring as it ever was!! :)

That is so funny! I actually had London in a snuggle me until she was eight months. She loved it, just started to be able to get out of it. Taya is such a sweet baby. I'm glad London has a little friend.

I guess we all have our bedtime quirks, mine would be my 3 pillows that must be taken where ever I lay my head. But Taya is perfect and makes burritos look good. Her quirks are cute!

It's so sweet. It reminds me of when they are very young and they want the comfort of being wrapped tightly to remind them of the warmth of your tummy. I drives me crazy to se a newborn unwrapped and flailing (their's that word again) and cold. Some mothers. . . and then they wonder why the baby cries. You are such a good mommy Ashley.
